Online and virtual fundraising
Virtual events: Organize online versions of popular events like auctions, trivia nights, or a "bake-off" via video conference platforms like Zoom.
Birthday or holiday fundraisers: Ask friends and family to donate to your cause instead of giving you gifts.
Corporate and workplace fundraising
Matched giving: Encourage employers to match the donations their employees make. This can significantly increase the total funds raised.
Skills auction: Auction off employees' skills and talents, such as language lessons, cooking classes, or custom art.
"Hour of earnings" donation: Ask employees to donate an hour of their pay to the cause.
Casual or "dress-down" days: Employees pay a small fee to wear casual clothes to work for a day or month.
Office bake-off or potluck: Have a team event where everyone brings a dish and donates their usual lunch money.
Inter-departmental challenges: Organize a competitive event, like a quiz, sports tournament, or a "lock up your boss" challenge, between different departments.
Company raffle: Collect prizes from local businesses and hold a raffle for employees.
In-person events
Bake sales and cook-offs: Sell baked goods or have a cooking competition, with judges and a tasting fee.
Auctions and raffles: Hold a silent or live auction for donated items and experiences, or sell raffle tickets for a prize.
Gala dinners and themed parties: Organize an elegant event, such as a gala, ball, or themed dinner party. You can incorporate entertainment and raffles for additional fundraising.
Community markets and fairs: Host a craft market, art exhibition, or village fête for local artisans and community members.
Sporting events: Host a charity fun run, 5k, walkathon, or golf tournament, and ask participants to collect pledges.
Movie or game nights: Host a movie screening or a board game and video game night and charge an entry fee.
Car wash: Organize a car wash and collect donations from customers.
Garage or jumble sales: Sell unwanted household items, books, and vintage clothes to raise money.
Bingo or quiz nights: Organize a fun evening event where teams compete for prizes.
Talent show or open mic night: Showcase local talent and charge an entry fee or sell tickets.
Our 30 Day Challenges are really flexible and you can have fun along the way. Run or walk where and when you like, from 5km to a marathon and get rewarded with one of our stunning medals, as long as you raise £50 and complete your distance within 30 days.

We are calling on passionate, purpose driven runners to join the Silver Star Maternity London Marathon Team and help raise vital funds to support maternity services in Oxfordshire.
This is a fantastic way to challenge yourself and raise funds for the Silver Star Maternity Fund.

This September join Oxford Hospitals Charity and abseil 100ft down the side of Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital.
Over the years thousands of people – aged 18 to 88 – have taken part in our very special abseils. This year it could be you!
