The Silver Star Collection The Silver Star Collection

Standing Order

he Society is part of the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds(registered charity number 1057295).

Membership is FREE to all who want it, however we rely on generous donations, without which our valuable work would not be possible.

If you wish to support Silver Star, please download your Membership Application Form and Standing Order Form here. Please send to Maggie Findlay at the address above.

A Gift Aid Declaration to the Charity is a form of tax relief that we can use to reclaim the income tax on your donation, from the Inland Revenue, at no extra cost to yourself. This comes to about 28% extra on your donations, at the current rate of Income Tax, meaning that for every £10 you donate, the charity gets £12.82. You simply need to be a UK Tax Payer who will pay more in tax this tax year than the amount we reclaim.

All you have to do is tick the box and sign the form.
You can donate by cheque (made payable to the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Fund), specifying Fund 0347-Silver Star, or by Standing Order, either as a one off payment, or regularly annually, quarterly, or monthly.

Thank you to everyone who supports us, we hope you know how appreciated you are. Without your support, Silver Star's work would be severely reduced, and more mothers and baby's would suffer.

(for more up to date information on NHS cuts, please see Prof's article in attached newsletter.)

Special Mothers

Special Mothers have Special needs

Come and join us for coffee and a chat!

Sometimes it can be difficult for mothers returning home from having their Silver Star baby. Mothers, lucky enough to have a trouble free pregnancy and birth, who may have delivered at their local hospital, or even at home, have no idea at all what a typical Silver Star mother may have been through in order to get her baby home.
