The most exciting leap forward in pre-eclampsia in the last 10 years.
Help us to make a huge step forward into decoding the secrets of pre-eclampsia. Our Appeal for the next two years is to raise a stunning £120,000! This will enable cutting edge research into understanding placental messages from baby to Mum, leading us to the root of the problem.
Professor Redman explains:
" It seems that the placenta, the baby's life support system from Mum, signals its needs by a constant flow of blood borne messages that are invisible even to the most powerful microscopes. They comprise tiny cell droplets which might be called 'placental mist'. With new techniques we can analyse placental mist, and begin to decode its messages. Knowing how and why the signals change in pre-eclampsia will move us to the heart of the problem. We are in poll position to do this. The support of the Society will enable quick progress while we gather other grants to keep our momentum going."
Please support our Appeal and eventually prevent further suffering. |
